When should you not take propranolol?

You should not use propranolol if you are allergic to it, or if you have:

  1. asthma;
  2. very slow heart beats that have caused you to faint; or.
  3. a serious heart condition such as “sick sinus syndrome” or “AV block” (unless you have a pacemaker).
